Masala Chai

Ingredients

Makes two servings.

Directions

  1. Lightly crush cloves, cardamom pods, and black peppercorns.
  2. Add water, milk, sugar, and spices to saucepan and bring to boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat and add tea.
  5. Steep for 5 minutes.
  6. Pour through a fine mesh strainer into mugs.
  7. Use a milk frother to create a foam on top.
